I grew up on a family farm where if something broke, you fixed it yourself, and a lot of what broke was fences, barn walls and old foundations. I learned masonry working under an experienced mason around South Bend, and in 2023 I started M&K South Bend Concrete & Masonry.
We're best known for careful repair on older brick, like repointing worn mortar joints and fixing chimneys. Plenty of older walls are mostly solid with a few bad spots, so we keep what's still sound and repair what's failing. That way your money goes where the wall needs it, and we don't tear out good brick just to make the job bigger.

Once any permit or historic step the job calls for is settled, we set a start date. Some things you only see once a wall is opened, so if we find more than we expected, we stop and talk it through with you before going further. We clean up when we're done.
